Counsellor's Corner

I am the school counsellor at Highlands Elementary and I am part of the District SEL Team. My favourite part of my job is spending time with kids. I have experience helping children work through difficult times in their lives using expressive art therapy. I also teach kids strategies for managing anxiety, building positive friendships and tools for self-regulation. I am excited about introducing students to mindfulness and meditation. I also love to knit, crochet and sew and you will often find me working with students on projects while we talk. When I am not at work I love to be with my family. I try to spend as much time as possible outside.​
